The big news ahead of the latest set of fixtures revolves around the future of George Williams. The England half back left Canberra Raiders in messy circumstances this week, with a move back to Super League set to happen in the coming weeks.

On the pitch, Saints lost for their first time in 2021, while Wakefield earned a maiden win. So Wigan go into round 8 on top, which see's a number of big match ups, including the derby between Castleford and Leeds.

Salford Vs Warrington

Rob

Salford played well against Wigan, however, Warrington also had a good game. I really can’t split these two but for me I’ll say the Wolves take it. Winner - Warrington

Castleford Vs Leeds

Chris

This one means a lot to both sides, and even more so after disappointing outings last roud. The fans being there will add an extra dimension, but even so I still think Cas are strong favourites given Leeds' shaky form. Leeds rely on Gale too much for me, and here he he faces a battle with Trueman, who's as good as they get right now.

Winner - Castleford

St Helens Vs Hull FC

Chris

Saints suffered their first loss at the season last week, but I wasn't surprised. Yes they were unbeaten, but hadn't really excelled for me. Hull FC have shown glimpses of real quality and Grand Final potential, and this is a real chance to show they are contenders. If Josh Reynolds is fit and firing they could come away with the points, and I fancy them to do that. Winner - Hull FC

Catalans Vs Wigan

Rob

Catalan stopped St Helens last time and there is a chance they could stop Wigan here. That being said will being the only unbeaten team spare them on? Maybe? Have they got a big target on their head? Undoubtedly. Will Wigan find a way like they always do? Time will tell. Winner - Wigan

Hull KR Vs Leigh

Chris

KR found some form before a tepid display against Wakefield. Leigh are winless but haven't had it easy, playing last season's top half in their opening set of fixtures. This is one for me they HAVE to win. Huddersfield blew them away last time out, but I think there will be a determination to for the Centurions that could see them over the line here. Winner - Leigh

Wakefield Vs Huddersfield

Chris

Trinity bagged a first win over Hull KR in round 7, while the Giants are building real momentum. Watson has his troops hitting their stride and I anticipate that continuing here with a convincing win.

Winner - Huddersfield

Round 7 Round Up

Chris was the winner this week, with 5 correct tips, including a first defeat for Saints. Rob and Kieran added three to their score as they are tied top of the mini league.
