This season, the team's predictions will be available in weekly articles and they'll be in competition with a league too!
Read our pundits predictions below (For the games that still stand this weekend)
Brighton v Crystal Palace - Friday 14th January (8pm)
Harry Reynolds
This game will be refreshingly different from the instalment in the disgracefully named “M23 derby” last season. Crystal Palace inexplicably won that day after parking about eight buses in front of the Brighton goal, but they have been very good to watch under Patrick Vieira. The Seagulls have started to get back in form themselves, and I’m expecting a fair few goals in what will hopefully be an entertaining game.
Prediction: 2-2
Chris Coughlin: 2-1
Chris Stott: 1-1
Ryan Kirk: 1-1
Joe Richardson: 1-0
Man City v Chelsea - Saturday 15th January (12:30pm)
Ryan Kirk
Chelsea's last chance saloon. Yes they've reached the Carabao Cup final for the chance of Tuchel's second trophy since taking over but if they are to retain any hope of a title challenge, they have to win here. It's more easily said than done of course. It feels impossible to back against City right now and I'm not going to here.
Prediction: 2-1
Chris Coughlin: 2-0
Chris Stott: 2-0
Harry Reynolds: 2-0
Joe Richardson: 2-0
Burnley P-P Leicester
Newcastle v Watford - Saturday 15th January (3pm)
Joe Richardson
I fancy this to be a thriller, mainly because I don't think either team can defend. The stats back that up but both sides at least have some attacking talent - not that Newcastle showed it in their FA Cup horror show against Cambridge. I don't know what kind of direction Watford are trying to go in under Ranieri and a defeat here would be disastrous.
Prediction: 3-2
Chris Coughlin: 2-1
Chris Stott: 2-1
Ryan Kirk: 2-1
Harry Reynolds: 2-1
Norwich v Everton - Saturday 15th January (3pm)
Harry Reynolds
The situation at Everton is seriously toxic now. The vice captain has been sold, there’s been one win in 12 league games, and only one away victory all season which came in August. However, Rafa Benitez is seemingly under no pressure from the board. I just can’t tip Everton to win any game at the moment, even against a Norwich team that haven’t scored in six games. If the home side loses this you would have to say they're effectively down, so I would expect this to be very edgy with neither side wanting to get beaten.
Prediction: 1-1
Chris Coughlin: 0-2
Chris Stott: 0-1
Ryan Kirk: 1-3
Joe Richardson: 1-1
Wolves v Southampton - Saturday 15th January (3pm)
Chris Stott
Wolves might not be the most exciting team around but the table doesn't lie and to be eighth represents a good start for Bruno Lage especially after that much deserved 1-0 win at Old Trafford. Southampton meanwhile will be feeling much better after that resounding win against Brentford on Tuesday. I think this will be a tight one.
Prediction: 1-0
Chris Coughlin: 1-1
Ryan Kirk: 2-2
Harry Reynolds: 1-1
Joe Richardson: 1-1
Aston Villa v Man Utd - Saturday 15th January (5:30pm)
Joe Richardson
Aston Villa v Man Utd Part 2.0. How Villa didn't at least score at Old Trafford in the cup still baffles me. How many chances did they want? United have Ronaldo back and surely can't play any worse than they did on Monday. I think there'll be goals here, this really could be anything.
Prediction: 2-2
Chris Coughlin: 1-2
Chris Stott: 2-2
Ryan Kirk: 1-0
Harry Reynolds: 2-1
Liverpool v Brentford - Sunday 16th January (2pm)
Chris Coughlin
It's been reported that Mo Salah is "running out of ways" to convince Liverpool to accept his contract demands but if Thursday was a glimpse into life after the Egyptian, then the biggest reason of all might've been given without Salah even kicking a ball. The Reds were toothless against 10 man Arsenal with Takumi Minamino wasting the biggest opportunity on the cusp of the 90. Brentford were battered by Southampton on Tuesday but I do feel like they'll still be absolutely fine this season. Liverpool, however, need to win to keep their faint title hopes flickering.
Prediction: 2-0
Chris Stott: 3-0
Ryan Kirk: 2-0
Harry Reynolds: 2-0
Joe Richardson: 2-0
West Ham v Leeds - Sunday 16th January (2pm)
Ryan Kirk
West Ham are back on a roll. Flying in Europe with a great chance of getting through to the fifth round of the FA Cup against National League North side Kidderminster Harriers and back on track in the Premier League. These two played each other last week in the cup with West Ham winning 2-0 and I'm backing the same here.
Prediction: 2-0
Chris Coughlin: 2-0
Chris Stott: 3-1
Harry Reynolds: 3-1
Joe Richardson: 2-1
Spurs v Arsenal - Sunday 16th January (4:30pm)
Chris Coughlin: 1-2
Chris Stott: 2-2
Ryan Kirk: 1-1
Harry Reynolds: 0-1
Joe Richardson: 0-2
