With Premier League fixtures coming thick and fast - the Prem Talk team are having some well earned time off from the Podcast. But, in between left over turkey butties, we've asked them to give their predictions for match day 16....

CRYSTAL PALACE VS LEICESTER CITY, 28 Dec 3PM

Chris Coughlin

It’s been a tough few weeks for Roy Hodgson and his side. Two defeats, ten goals conceded including seven against Liverpool. Leicester, meanwhile, did well to fight back twice against United & I can see them disposing of Palace comfortably here given Vardy and co have been superb away from the King Power in particular.

Prediction: 0-2

Joe Richardson

I feel a bit for Roy Hodgson because prior to the 7-0 demolition of Liverpool, Palace were going along okay, even in the first 20 minutes against the league leaders. But that manor of defeat has come at just the wrong time with no time to gather themselves. Leicester are much better on the road and I only see a comfortable away win here.

Prediction: 0-2

Kieran Makin: 0-2

Chris Stott: 0-3

Sam Jordan: 1-1

CHELSEA VS ASTON VILLA, 28 DEC 5:30PM

Kieran Makin

Frank Lampard is getting away with an awful lot for my liking. He spent over £200m in the transfer window and is not only underperforming, but also failing to get the best out of Timo Werner, Kai Havertz etc. Villa on the other hand are flying under Dean Smith - they play some outstanding attacking football through Grealish and co. and I really fancy them here.

Prediction: 1-2

Sam Jordan

Chelsea will be looking to get their title push back on track after a woeful week, whilst Villa will be looking to continue their recent ascent towards the top of the table. I fancy Chelsea to get back on track here, and secure a comfortable win against the Villains, with Giroud back on the scoresheet.

Prediction: 2-0

Joe Richardson: 1-3

Chris Coughlin: 2-1

Chris Stott: 0-2

Viila go into the game one place above Chelsea in the table, after a 3-0 win over Palace on Boxing Day...

EVERTON VS MANCHESTER CITY, 28 DEC 8PM

Joe Richardson

Manchester City are quietly going about their business at the minute. Not with the attacking flair and guile that we’ve become accustomed to in recent seasons, but you feel that going under the radar this season is no bad thing. The same can be said for Everton, who have snuck back into second place. However, I feel City could do a job on the Toffees and continue to be a tough nut to crack defensively.

Prediction: 0-1

Chris Coughlin

It’s fair to say Everton have rather stumbled into second place in the table but they’ve done well to take advantages of slip ups from others. Four wins in a row with three clean sheets is bound to breed confidence as well. City are still to really hit their stride but they’ve been almost perfect defensively recently and I think that’s where Everton will struggle here, even with 2,000 fans behind them on Monday.

Prediction: 0-2

Kieran Makin: 2-3

Chris Stott: 0-1

Sam Jordan: 1-1

BRIGHTON VS ARSENAL, 29 DEC 6PM

Sam Jordan

Brighton are desperate for a win after back to back draws at home to bottom of the table Sheffield United and away to West Ham. Arsenal meanwhile put an end to their sorry run with a comfortable 3-1 win over Chelsea. As much as I admire the tactical acumen of Mikel Arteta, his side have a real soft core, especially away from home, so I think Brighton may nick it.

Prediction: 1-0

Chris Stott

Both have had their troubles this season. Brighton are very much a style over substance side at the moment. They really should've beaten West Ham but for some slack defending. Boy did Arsenal need that win over Chelsea! This game would have been huge if the Gunners would have lost on Boxing Day - but even so, they have to back it up now and regain some momentum. However, I think they'll share the points.

Prediction: 1-1

Joe Richardson: 1-2

Chris Coughlin: 1-2

Kieran Makin: 1-1

The Gunners ended a 56 day wait for a league win in style, as they beat rivals Chelsea on Boxing Day...

BURNLEY VS SHEFFIELD UNITED, 29 DEC 6PM

Chris Coughlin

Good luck to Amazon Prime trying to sell this one. The only two teams in the league who haven’t scored at least 10 goals so far and I’m not sure this game will be able to take either into double figures. I’m going to go for Burnley here because they are the side in this match up that I can actually see creating opportunities. Prediction: 1-0

Joe Richardson

Time really is running out for Sheffield United and if they are to harbour any hopes of a great escape it has to start away at Turf Moor. But Burnley do a job on teams at home and them to win to nil is the shrewd bet. Prediction: 2-0

Chris Stott: 0-0

Kieran Makin: 1-0

Sam Jordan: 3-0

SOUTHAMPTON VS WEST HAM, 29 DEC, 6PM

Chris Stott

Could be a decent game this. Will be interesting to see how West Ham approach it but when they are good, they're a threat. Can see them scoring but Saints have been superb more often than not and should have beaten Fulham. I think they'll get another win as their attack is usually more potent.

Prediction: 2-1

Chris Coughlin

Both sides that will feel that qualifying for European football is a realistic target given how unpredictable this season is. Southampton were unlucky not to beat Fulham and I was disappointed in West Ham’s display against Brighton as I was expecting much more from them. It’ll be tight but I’ll go with the Saints on this one Prediction: 2-1

Kieran Makin: 0-0

Joe Richardson: 1-1

Sam Jordan: 2-0

WEST BROM VS LEEDS UNITED, 29 DEC 6PM

Kieran Makin

West Brom defended brilliantly at Liverpool to get a well deserved point at the champions, while Leeds were lucky to beat Burnley due to some questionable refereeing. I fancy a draw here because I feel Big Sam will look to target Leeds’ weakness on set pieces, particularly corners.

Prediction: 1-1

Chris Stott

West Brom performed brilliantly in the second half against Liverpool - so well drilled and posed a threat at times on the counter. They'll need the same steel and determination against a Leeds side who create chance after chance. I think they'll create enough to score Leeds, but fancy Albion to respond from a set piece.

Prediction: 1-1

Joe Richardson: 1-2

Chris Coughlin: 0-2

Sam Jordan: 1-3

West Brom picked up an unlikely point at Anfield on Sunday...

MANCHESTER UNITED VS WOLVES, 29 DEC 8PM

Kieran Makin

It’s been an interesting fixture over the past few years this one, and on their day Wolves can beat anyone. But I just fancy United with their firepower going forward. They were unfortunate not to comfortably beat Leicester on Boxing Day - Marcus Rashford could've had a hattrick!

Prediction: 3-0

Sam Jordan

United find themselves flying high at the top end of the premier league, that’s despite a somewhat mediocre start. Maybe that says more about the league in general, with many top teams dropping points unexpectedly. Wolves however have struggled to replicate last seasons form, as Nuno has looked at different formations, following key departures. Bruno Fernandes has been a revelation again so far this campaign, and the smart money would be on him to be influential once more.

Prediction 3-1

Chris Coughlin: 3-0

Chris Stott: 2-0

Joe Richardson: 1-1

TOTTENHAM VS FULHAM, 30 DEC 6PM

Joe Richardson

After being written off at the start of the season as relegation certainties, you have to give Scott Parker enormous credit for Fulham now having a realistic shot at survival. One defeat in six reads well, but it’s now four draws in a row which string together aren’t of massive help. Spurs should have too much but will face a team effective at both ends of the pitch.

Prediction: 2-0

Chris Stott

Spurs have shown glimpses of brilliance, but also shown their typically brittle self as well. I'd imagine they will take on a more front foot approach to what we have seen lately, and the quality should sign through. Fulham have impressed me in recent weeks and do posses their own threats, but Spurs should have too much. Prediction: 3-1

Kieran Makin: 2-1

Chris Coughlin: 2-0

Sam Jordan: 1-0

NEWCASTLE UNITED VS LIVERPOOL, 30 DEC 8PM

Sam Jordan

Newcastle have been dour in recent weeks, with boss Steve Bruce having to contend with multiple absences in his squad. The loss of influential forward Allan Saint-Maximan has been particularly hurtful. The champions though have been in turbulent form themselves in terms of performances, with draws against 2 of the promoted sides in recent weeks. But, at their scintillating best Liverpool are near on unstoppable.

Prediction: 0-3

Kieran Makin

Newcastle are a struggle to watch at the moment and I think they’ll take the same approach of sitting back against Liverpool. They might sneak a goal at home but Liverpool have got too much going forward. Another win for Jurgen Klopp’s men.

Prediction: 1-3

Joe Richardson: 1-4

Chris Coughlin: 1-2

Chris Stott: 1-1
