16 teams remain in the hunt for Europa League glory, including 4 British sides.
Leicester City became the surprise casualty of the last round and with a couple of big names facing off at this stage of the competition, another potential winner is likely to fall. So can the Brits all make it through to make up half of the Quarter Final Draw?
Matchday FM's pundits have their say...
Manchester United vs AC Milan - Thursday 11th, 5:55pm
Chris Stott
This tie evokes memories of some epic Champions League ties! Kaka's masterclass springs to mind for example. These two may feel this competition is a step below were they ought to be, but both are real contenders for this title. Both are set to miss some big names, with Zlatan sadly unavailable for his return to Old Trafford. United will be confident after their brilliant display in the derby, but Milan have shown signs of real progress this season but limped through against Red Star Belgrade last time out. And I think they'll miss their absentees more than the Red Devils and that could be the difference.
Prediction: Manchester United
Chris Coughlin
On paper, this is still very much the tie of the round between two sides with a combined 10 European Cup titles. The glamour of the tie, however, has been taken away somewhat with injury news from both sides. Manchester United will be without Marcus Rashford, Edinson Cavani & Paul Pogba for at least the first leg at Old Trafford while AC Milan will be missing the influential veteran Zlatan Ibrahimovic for the whole tie as well as Theo Hernandez & Hakan Çalhanoğlu. Both sides are second in their respective leagues although Milan are very much closer to Inter than United are to Manchester City despite the Red Devils' 2-0 win at the Etihad on Sunday in what was a fine performance all over the pitch. AC Milan have recovered from successive Serie A defeats & an unconvincing last-32 showing against Red Star Belgrade but, like Stotty, I feel they will miss their key figures more so than United.
Prediction: Manchester United
Slavia Prague vs Rangers - Thursday 11th March, 5:55pm
Chris Stott
Slavia caused the big upset in the round of 32 by beating Leicester. They were excellent at the King Power and have in recent times shown that quality in the Champions League. Rangers will be riding high after sealing an historic title, and that could allow them to really go for the Europa League. They score goals for fun, as their tie with Antwerp demonstrated. But Prague showed how good they are at frustrating opponents against the Foxes and they'll look to do that again. It's crucial Rangers use their home advantage of Ibrox in the return like to avoid a Leicester like exit.
Prediction: Rangers
Chris Coughlin
After securing the holy grail of the Scottish Premiership at the weekend, Steven Gerrard's side can now focus on their bid to continue making waking waves in Europe. They remain unbeaten so far throughout their Europa League run so far with some impressive performances. They've should've beaten Benfica home and away and eventually saw off Royal Antwerp in a thriller in the last-32. They come up against a Slavia Prague side who cannot be underestimated. They deservedly knocked out Leicester in the last round with a brilliant display at the King Power. They also have players who are very much tipped to reach bigger and better things, in particular 19-year-old Abdallah Sima who has 11 goals in 16 games in the Czech top-flight this season to add to his goal against the Foxes. I think this could be another thriller over two legs between two sides with plenty of attacking quality.
Prediction: Rangers
Olympiakos vs Arsenal - Thursday 11th March, 8pm
Chris Stott
Arsenal are back in Greece again and they'll be favourites for this. But their Athens opponents are no stranger to giving British sides a scare. The Gunners did show great quality and resilience to get past Benfica, and they will targeting this competition as their best route to the Champions League. I can see Olympiakos taking the home leg, but fully expect Arsenal to set the record straight at home and progress.
Prediction: Arsenal
Chris Coughlin
Arsenal have already had their warning here before a ball has been kicked after Olymiakos stunned the Gunners with a dramatic extra-time win in the last-32 last season. Mikel Arteta knows his side can afford no such slip ups if they are to even think about playing in the Champions League next term. Olympiakos are flying clear at the top of the Greek Super League as they look to defend their title so can afford to go all out in this competition. Arsenal are consistently inconsistent under this season but Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang appears to be getting back into the groove with six goals in his last six games including a crucial brace in the last round against Benfica. No doubt last season's exit to the record Greek champions will be in the back of Arsenal minds but I don't expect the same result here
Prediction: Arsenal
Tottenham vs Dinamo Zagreb - Thursday 11th March, 8pm
Chris Stott
Spurs simply Waltzed through to this stage against Austrian side Wolfsberger. And with Bale in the form he is, coupled with the typically ruthless Kane, Mourinho's side look a real good shout for a final appearance in my books. Zagreb got the job done against fellow Eastern European's Krasnodar to set up this tie, and will be tough to beat at home. But with that coming after their trip to London, the tie could well be dead by then if the free scoring Spurs we've seen of late turns up.
Prediction: Tottenham
Chris Coughlin
Before their tie against Wolfsberger, I wrote "Is anything ever straight forward for Spurs?" and for once, it was. They obliterated the Austrians over two legs with Dele Alli & Gareth Bale at the heart of all that was good from a Tottenham perspective. Jose Mourinho's side are hitting form over the last few weeks with three successive wins in the Premier League to add to their emphatic showing in Europe. It will be interesting whether Mourinho thinks now is the right time to bring Harry Kane into his plans in this competition but I'm expecting the England captain to become a more prominent figure from the quarter-finals onwards should Spurs get there. Dinamo Zagreb, meanwhile, lead the way in Croatia having won six of their last seven league games and produced some brilliant displays to win home and away against Krasnodar in the last round. Their main threat will come from Croatian internationals Mislav Orsic & Bruno Petkovic but I don't see them having enough to knock out Spurs over two legs.
