Alonso has been discharged from hospital


As reported last week, the Alpine driver was hospitalized after being involved in a cycling accident near his home in Lugano, Switzerland. The Spaniard will now have "a short period of complete rest before progressively resume training in preparation for the start of the season" the French team tweeted this week.

The 39-year-old is returning to Formula One this season after a two-year absence in which he explored other motorsport ambitions. He added a second Le Mans win, the World Endurance Championship title, competed twice in the Indianapolis 500 and once in the Dakar Rally.

McLaren release the MCL35M


The Woking-based outfit was the first team to show off their new car for the upcoming 2021 season. We also saw what Daniel Ricciardo looked like in McLaren orange.


The Australian said that he is excited about starting, who joins after two years at Renault. He signed a three-year contract with McLaren who is switching to a Mercedes engine for the first time this season. "Everything I have seen excites me about where McLaren is heading. I really believe in the personnel. They are doing what it takes to be a real contender in the championship." he is quoted in saying.


He said he believed McLaren was his best option for the major rule change Formula 1 is introducing in 2022.

AlphaTauri unveal new car


AlphaTauri have taken the wraps off their car for this season, the AT02, and wants to take on their big name midfield rivals.


It was shown by drivers Pierre Gasly and new signing Yuki Tsunoda in a pre-recorded video, the car features changes to its nose and suspension while the livery has been slightly reworked from last season with blue a more predominant colour.


Entering the second year under the name of Red Bull's fashion label, the former Toro Rosso team are aiming to build on a strong 2020 when they won a race for the first time in 12 years.
