As we move onto round four of the 2021 season, St Helens lead the way with 3 other sides boasting 100 per cent winning records. Will round 4 be the one in which Huddersfield, Wakefield, Leigh or Salford break their duck, with the latter two meeting at the AJ Bell Stadium on Friday.
The Matchday FM Rugby League Team have had their say on how the next round will play out.

Wigan Warriors Vs Castleford Tigers
Rob
This one is going to be a tough test for Adrian Law’s side. Whilst they have home advantage Castleford are in fine form and picking up some healthy wins and good momentum. I would not be surprised if it goes to golden point or if the Tigers take this one.
Huddersfield Giants Vs St Helens
Chris
Two contrasting 100 per cent records, and in truth I can’t see it changing. However, I do think Huddersfield will give the Saints a stern test, but they have to start games better than they have done so far. They have strike weapons particularly out wide, but Saints have that all over the park and defensively have been superb. For me that’s where this game is won, St Helens having the ability to ride the pressure and post points themselves.
Hull KR Vs Leeds Rhinos
Chris
KR got their first win last week but they didn’t half make hard work of it in the end. But it will give them a huge confidence boost. It’s difficult to judge Leeds at present given their injury issues in the back line. Kyle Eastmond had a steady if not spectacular debut and he’ll have to kick on fast to outshine KR’s halves. I think Leeds will just edge it however after dominating in the pack.
Salford Red Devils Vs Leigh Centurions
Rob
Both teams seem to be struggling but in two different ways. I think the injuries will be a little bit too much for Leigh even though they will be targeting this game massively. I think Salford’s attack makes up for their lacklustre defence.
Hull FC Vs Wakefield Trinity
Chris
Wakefield seem to have very competent first halves which produce tight scorelines, then get blown away in the second half. It’s happened in all 4 league and cup games so far. This is a worrying trait for me, and in fairness I can’t even see the first half being too close as FC look a slick outfit. Yes they didn’t beat Warrington but they came oh so close. They have far too much quality for Trinity to handle if they turn it on.
Catalans Dragons Vs Warrington Wolves
Chris
The Dragons are unbeaten so far and look as good as they have done in a very long time. Warrington are improvising steadily but still only have the one win at that was against Leigh. This is where we’ll see how good both sides really are, and you know what, I think Catalans edge it on form.
